Transit App maps out Montreal’s best cafes

Welcome to Project Espresso, the latest update on Montreal’s favourite transportation app, the Transit App

Transit sent out their trusted writer, Joe Bagel (of Fairmount Bagel Twitter fame), to visit some of Montreal’s best independent cafés in order test their coffees and seek out their Wi-Fi passwords. Of course- he travelled by transit.

The result of his running around the city is a curated map of all of the best cafés, along with their hours of operation, directions to get there- and the best feature yet: their Wi-Fi passwords.

All you have to do is click the “Copy Wi-Fi Password” button, paste it in the password box, order your coffee, and you’re good to go. No more seemingly awkward confrontations with the baristas to bug them for the password.

Not to mention, all of the features are available offline, so if you’re stuck in the metro or without a data plan, you’ll still be able to quickly find your way to a delicious cup of coffee.

We especially love the number of independent cafés being featured, giving you a good excuse to start exploring different shops all around town.

So enjoy staying caffeinated & connected!
