Chasing Shadows
If it doesn’t change the price of your coffee, don't let it bother you.
Chasing Shadows is a photo essay drawn from our belief that in the sport of life, the competition isn’t with your neighbour or your friend or even your enemy. It’s with yourself.
Jay-Z adapted words of wisdom when he said, “What you eat don’t make me shit.” It doesn’t matter if the next guy (or girl) is bigger, faster, stronger, whatever. Let them be, if it doesn’t change the price of your coffee, ignore ‘em.
Maybe you didn’t run further, or faster, or longer, maybe you simply got out of the house when you really wanted to watch HBO and eat takeout. The concept of chasing your shadows is about chasing yourself, trying to beat your previous best, pushing your comfort zone one notch further.
If you need help with inspiration find your city when it lays still and own that moment. Living in any metropolis those moments are rare, so take full advantage. Use it to reboot, recharge, master your thoughts and improve yourself.
There’s no judgement on the path you carve for yourself, get out there and move.
