We were saddened to hear the news of Montreal bar/restaurant Furco turning away a group of Canadian Military men over the weekend.
The men recounted their story to local news officials saying that it wasn’t a matter of being at or over capacity, “… it’s that having military personnel there is bad for business as women might not mind, but the men buying drinks would get intimidated.” Since the incident, Furco has taken to their Facebook page to offer an official apology. Despite the bar’s attempt at amends, the story is so inconceivable that we are going to let you read it as reported by the Montreal Gazette.
