Exploring fashion in e-commerce

Condé Nast, the owner of some of your favourite print & digital medias, has recently announced it will be launching a new e-commerce venture later on this autumn.

Style.com and Vogue.com have been a hub for fashion lovers since the early millennium. The decision to adjust these websites comes after recognizing the global market shift towards e-commerce, a projected 1.5 trillion dollar market this year alone. Over the next few years, Condé Nast will be investing over 100 million dollars in their new business venture.

Their goal is not only to explore the potential of the market, but also to organize and correct overlapping information between two of their most popular websites.

Style.com will now be the centre of their global e-commerce ventures, where you can shop from all of the publications that fall under the Condé Nast umbrella such as Wired, GQ and Vanity Fair. As a result, all of it’s editorial coverage will move over to a fresh website, voguerunway.com, (which currently re-routes back to style.com, so be patient!).
