We got our hands on Blackberry’s new smartphone, the Blackberry curve 8900, aka the Javelin. From the original curve to the 8900, the difference is phenomenal. Bottom line, definitely worth the upgrade. The 8900 features a beautiful new screen and an equally impressive 3.2MP camera with flash and autofocus. Outside of the sony ericsson smart phones with great cameras and sub-par interfaces, the 8900 has one of the most practical and a staff favorite for on phone cameras.
The 8900 comes with the newest blackberry 4.6 OS similar to the Bold. Its slim figure, faster processor and adequate battery life. (Unless you play Texas Hold’Em Poker . . . drains battery severely)
It features the EDGE and wifi network. Wifi actually working well and simple to join networks, and while the EDGE is really slow compared to the 3G speeds its still feels like an improvement because the new browser.
