AETHERstream Popup Shop
Take a look at this new approach to retail. Los Angeles-based apparel company Aether has set up shop on a New York City lot in a heavily-modified Airstream trailer. With the help of French designer Thierry Gaugain, Aether made their ideas for a mobile retail space into reality. Dubbed the AETHERstream, it features oak flooring, custom furniture from Environment Furniture, and other pieces, all reclaimed, freecycled, sustainably harvested or otherwise recycled.
The trailer houses items from Aether’s current collections, and the display also features a classic army-style canvas tent from the Armbruster Manufacturing Co. For details on where check out the AETHERstream site. They’ve already made stop-overs in many major American cities as part of a nationwide tour. It’s a pop-up shop if we ever saw one.
