15 Best Sweaters This Winter
Like any of the world’s most classic pairings – PB&J, Bert & Ernie, Biscuits & Gravy – let’s face it: sweaters and winter go hand-in-hand. Especially with this Nor’easter currently heading our way. All of the sudden, everyone is brutally reminded that it’s time to make the annual mad dash to find a good winter sweater.
For most men, this type of cozy winter wear tends to fall into the “casual wardrobe” category of their closet. That is, until they all suddenly migrate to their new home, i.e your girlfriend’s side of the closet.
We all know there’s nothing sexier than seeing your girl wrapped up in your favorite wool sweater. But despite that albeit enticing mental image, there remains a time in every sweater’s life where one can no longer ignore that it has lost its flattering shape. No matter how amazing the female body that slipped into may be, the tiny little balls of cotton fluff that have started to accumulate on your favorite hoodie relegate it to the “To Only Every Be Worn In The Confines of Your Home” pile.
For those of you who still believe that all you care about is comfort and that style isn’t a factor, well, you can’t deny that a year’s worth of wear has thinned the warmth right out of even the fleeciest of options. It’s time to step your game up.
With styles varying from turtlenecks to cardigans, V-necks to pullovers, there is quite a wide variety of sweater shapes to choose from. Navigating through them all can feel like such a nuisance, if not daunting. Instead, we’ve put to work a tried-and-tested formula that breaks down how to nail the balance between “cozy” and “stylish.” We polled the most dapper men on staff and put together a complete list of 15 sweaters that’ll make you look like you know what’s up this winter. YOU’RE WELCOME.
Hopefully your new sweater will keep you warm and if not, well maybe it’s time to get a lady to share it with.
