Let them eat cake

We’ve decided to explore our relationship with food. We’ve cooked, savoured, Instagrammed and shared our food with many of you but have never dived into the meat of the issue – let the puns begin.

Smartphones and social networks have become our preferred platforms for sharing our favorite dishes. Digital photo buffs have been keenly sharing their boundary-pushing meal photography via hashtags like #HandlessGram, #FoodOnPhotos, and our very own #TheAfterGram, making us hungrier than ever. We encourage our readers to follow suit and partake in the fun by kicking off their very own digital food movement.

In the rest of the issue, our curiosity leads us further down the rabbit hole as we tackle some of the fattest, err, fastest-growing foodie phenomena such as Cochon555’s traveling pork tour and the artwork adorning some of our favorite food trucks. We even take the liberty of passing along some advice on many peoples’ most awkward dining decision – ordering from the wine list.

And, because it’s our bread and butter (we promised more puns didn’t we?), we close this issue mashing up the world of restaurants with the best of fall fashion, inspiring you to try some great restaurants and know how to dress for the occasion at once.

Cheers,

Leslie
