Editor's Picks
Don’t be fooled. It’s still winter.
Burton – Touch N Go Gloves
Finding a pair of winter-ready, well-crafted, and stylish conductive gloves for your smartphone can be a tall order. The vast majority are still bulky or tacky, or they leave you pounding so hard on your phone that you’d rather just get frostbite trying to hit send. Burton Touch N Go gloves provide a great responsive touch and enough dexterity to actually type a message or check your Google maps, all while keeping your fingers warm.
Nike – Kobe IX BHM
The Kobe IX is one of the most ambitious athlete signature shoe designs ever. The use of Nike’s flyknit technology not only offers a dramatic change in the weight and feel of the shoe on the foot but also allows designers to get creative with an incredible mosaic of colors when creating new models.
The BHM edition is much more than a marketing scheme disguised as a black and white shoe. For the past decade, Nike has created a BHM collection centred around their star athletes that raises both awareness of Black History Month and funds benefiting nonprofits that serve underprivileged youth through sport.
Brothers We Stand’s – Idioma Sweatshirt
The grey crewneck is essentially the fleece version of a white t-shirt–it suits nearly everyone and never goes out of style. Brothers We Stand, a UK menswear brand, differentiates itself by retooling the very beginning of the production process. The Idioma crewneck is produced in Tamil Nadu, India in a wind-powered factory. BWS take the term “ethically-made” seriously, even including the information about the carbon footprint of each item on their website. When they pair that conviction with clean, compelling graphics and subtle pieces with modest branding, they create a collection we’re happy to endorse.
Stutterheim – SKEPPSBRON
We’ve been very big fans of the Swedish raincoat company and love its focus on clean, minimalist design. The Skeppsbron, a rubberized and lined trench coat, is so eye catching and simple that it rivals Stutterheim’s own original hooded raincoat, Stockholm.
