Tour De Food: Maine

Last weekend me and a couple of my friends packed up our cars and travelled down to Maine for my birthday weekend. We headed through the torrential rain to huddle up amongst friends in a typical ocean side northeastern house. One might think that I would have been lighting sparklers and dancing on banquets to ring in my bday but instead this year it couldn’t have been further from that scenario. Instead we sipped rum and cokes, played cards and embarked on what will be known as our version of “Maine Lobsterfest/Tour de Food 2012″.

A quick recap for my foodie friends:

Breakfast – Ocean Park’s Ice Cream Parlor

Lobster Dinner – Bayley’s Lobster Pound

Breakfast throw down – Becky’s in Portland, ME

Lobster Roll, Corn Bread & Onion Rings – Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster

Linguini & Lobster Diner – Street & Co in Portland, ME (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)

Lobster Roll Lunch – Hannaford’s Deli

Well, as you wipe the drool off your keyboards, i’m going to continue to wallow in my lobster withdrawal.
