Toronto Fashion Week: Sears Attitude
Gone are the days of tapered sweatpants and matching printed Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtle sweatshirts, thus gone with the days of shopping at Sears…or so one would think. Admittedly Sears has not been a top-of-mind store to find latest runway-worthy trends or anything that fills the gap between recess school days and retirement.
But when was the last time you were in Sears? The mogul department store usually occupies multi-level real-estate and carries multiple clothing lines ranging from top designers to in house brands, such as Attitude.
The moderately priced day-to-night clothing line features exceptionally versatile and fashionably practical clothing suitable for a multifaceted woman’s lifestyle. The Fall 2010 line-up features the must haves of todays modern woman, high-waisted pencil skirts, skinny trousers, camel toppers, paper-bag waisted peg leg trousers, wool shawls, deceivingly sexy blouses, and heavy shouldered knits. To prove it’s versatility the collection adds in the small accents to make the day-to-night change over as simple as throwing on sleek high gloves, polished heels, or grabbing a clutch. If you need to transverse to night-to-latenight apparel the lingerie line features “supportive” bras tightly fitted under sheer pants and gusty robes. The finale was met with Canadian bronze medalist figure skater, Joannie Rochette, clad in an opulent arrangement.
