Throughout the world we have seen the greatest designers take centre stage and show us what colours, silhouettes, and textiles will be walking the streets come fall. Last week Toronto showcased its best and most stylish for The World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week.
As the week wraps up a few designers stand out from the pack as originals and Canadian design leaders.
Shawn Hewson and Ruth Promislow know what the modern man wants. This season the design duo looked to the greatest party in the west, pulling inspiration from Calgary’s stampede. Canadian tuxedos, corduroy suiting, and their signature slim pant with colourful button-down shirts was all clinched together with cowboy accessories for cool look for all city-slickers.
New to Toronto fashion, Chloe and Parris Gordon have proved to be the duo to watch. The sisters manage to combine cool accessories and sleek clothes to create a very unique and modern look for young Canadian women.

Although Joe Fresh is Canada’s favorite fast fashion label, designer Joe Mimran still manages to dominate the runways. Cool prints, stylish silhouettes and bold colours at affordable prices; is there anything better?
Kimberley Newport-Mimran combines very on trend silhouettes with dark colours and luxurious fabrics to create a chic collection for an older fashionable woman. Colourful furs, slim leather garments and even silk peplums were all seen on the catwalk.
From fast fashion to luxury brands, Canadian designers prove they have everything fashionable all men and women can enjoy next fall.
