Throw More Confetti (My Resolutions)

Forget all those pretentious resolutions of never eating chocolate again, workout an hour every morning before work, quit drinking forever or any other unrealistic goals you may have set yourself. This year I decided to keep my resolutions simple and fun!

1. Throw more confetti. Because it’s fun and hey we don’t often get the chance to do it. So when it comes time to celebrate with your friends/family this year grab a bag of confetti and really live it up.
2. Make excuses to wear more glitter. Glitter is in style these days so I will rock it shamelessly, until it is no longer acceptable (and even then I might wear it a couple months more).
3. Spend more time at the beach with friends. This is one that I support dearly, no matter where you live there is a beach within your capabilities so take advantage. Make the time for a beach day. Whether you travel to the east coast beaches or hop a plane to Ibiza (in the picture) plan a beach vacation this year, and grab some friends along.
4. Have more picnics. When I lived in Paris we used to have picnics about 3-4 times a week (granted it was spring/summer). Having a picnic is the easiest and most cost efficient way of spending time with your friends. Grab some quick food at your local grocery store, bakery or fruits/veggie stand and head over to a park with a bottle of wine (which public drinking is urban mythed to be accepted in Montreal). Too cold to go sit in a park? Host an indoor picnic, apply the same byo (bring your own) concept and simply choose a location, whether it be your house or a friends (make sure they want you to come over first … obvi).

So there you have it, my resolutions for 2012.

What are yours?!?
