Whether or not you’re a fan of Dutch artist Parra‘s work (we are!) this short clip of him talking about where he draws his inspiration from is worth the watch.

He’s among those artists who need exterior visual inspiration before he can start his work. But once he’s gotten going, he’ll take whatever visusal piqued his interest and flip it on its head. Known for his post-Pop imagery and a distinct color pallet, Parra creates surreal worlds for his characters through more than few mediums: drawing, painting, animation and sculpture.
