On May 19th 2008, Corey Woods – better known to the world as Shallah Raekwon The Chef (because he’s cooking up some mouth watering shit) will be performing his classic album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx at Koko in Camden.

Words cannot describe how much love I have for OB4CL. That was the soundtrack to my 16th summer walking this planet. Just yesterday, I was actually writing about that LP for the comic book and figuring out how to storyboard listening to Glaciers Of Ice at 90 mph. Whoever is up there is operating in mysterious ways…

Tickets will run you £16. Don’t worry if you forget in the interim – I will be running the ‘I’m Going To The Cuban Linx Show’ Countdown. I might even treat myself to a new pair of Wallabees (Cream or Lemon Pie?). A frined of mine suggested cultivating an angel dust habit and getting into the whole ‘method blogging’ thing before the gig, but there’s only so far I’m willing to go in the name of journalism.
