I am loving asymmetry this summer which is bizarre because I have always avoided it. Since I could remember I’ve been mildly OCD when it came to symmetry but I must be growing out of it. I’ll always avoid the one long sleeve-one short sleeve but this flowy, dramatic asymmetry has become really appealing; this red skirt (40$) for example or a blouse I bought last week that is long in the back and short in the front.
I haven’t blogged in what feels like forever. When I’m not working 45 hours a week I’m trying to get as much sunshine as I can, doing personal projects, playing music, burying some old emotions in the backyard. The beginning of summer always has a few adjustments before things go smoothly. There are also so many great parties in the summer. I’m a little late on commenting but the WRG party we had last weekend was swanky as hell and everyone had a good time (and looked just as good). Friday was ridiculous, it rained out of nowhere and we went to BoomClap all wet and drunk and ended up having hilarious adventures up and down St. Laurent all night, ending up at a drum and bass after party that was just too much.
Going to Toronto Friday morning. Jak and I have an apartment for the weekend. It’ll be a mini vacation for us before she packs up and goes to Vancouver. Will take lots of photos.
I’ve also started a design journal. I haven’t bought the url yet though. I’m just putting together little excerpts I write typographically. I already have a tumblr so I think I’ll hold off and wait for the .com to start posting them. Here are a few:
