It’s probably easy to tell that Osheaga was a big deal in Montreal. It’s a giant two day festival that’s near impossible to not run into someone you know every 15 minutes (less if you’re actually trying).
Having experienced the festival a few times already, I had less of an oooh and aaaah factor, and more of a cut to the chase experience but I learned that $7 hotdogs on site we’re not going to be my friend, so I met some actual friends for breakfast and started the day of properly.

From there it was off to the park. Your Osheaga ticket got you free metro rides all weekend a very awesome partnership, it should also get you free bixis too but that’s asking a bit much.
Had a quick stop at all the booths upon entry, one of them being Cushe, a UK based footwear brand who’s philosophy was born out of traveling and have strong connections to music (they’ve partnered with Bonobo amongst others)

They had a crazy line up all day for a bag toss game, kind of like the county fair would. Their logo looks like a dude who’d be great at Parkour, next year they should totally have live demonstrations of that going on. Although out of place in this heat, these looked like they’d do well in the cold or if I took up hiking.

But you couldn’t actually see any of the show from these booths so it was on to the next.
Ended up making my way over to the stages and to see all the friends over at Oakley. Billy, KK, Jake and big homie Mark were holding it down.

Best view of the weekend, 20ft in the air stage right and complete with flat screens so crisp you got all the live sound, with better than live visuals.

Shoutout to everyone I saw roll through the Oakley lounge, AJ, Hot Karl, Rapha, Chris & Jenn, K’naan & Sol Guy.
Oakley also invited artists to roll in and grab some new shades, they set up a full fitting area.

Snoop’s entourage getting laced.

I also spotted these Shaun White frogskins’ that made me wanna stick someone up.

Osheaga was full of amazing music but it was really about the people for me, definitely looking forward to next year.
