LOVAS Fall/Winter 2010 presents- "Behind the Gates"
LOVAS by Wesley Badanjack, allows an inside look “Behind the Gates” into the inspiration behind the Toronto native’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection.
Influenced by the memories and photographs of his grandmother, Badanjack unveiled a collection of classic, structured, tailored pieces with modern finishes.
Simplicity was a constant throughout the show. Accessories were minimal, which made the audience focus only on the garments. Scarves, belts, wool socks, and fur accents were used as compliments of each piece.
The incorporation of jersey, silk chiffon and silk charmeuse allows a softness to the collection while the utilization of bold shades of grape, raspberry and crimson brought vibrancy to the runway.
At the end of the show, as the audience applauded, Badanjack ran down the runway for an emotional embrace with his muse, the inspiration behind the collection– his grandmother, Cecilija Badanjak.
