French luxury design label Louis Vuitton has designed this year’s 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ trophy travel case.  The one of a kind case was produced by a single mastercraftsman in Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières workshop near Paris.  The case is covered in Louis Vuitton’s iconic brown monogramed print and features the company’s signature brass lock and corners and has a rich chocolate brown lining.  The 36cm tall trophy which weighs 6.175 kg and is made of solid 18-carat gold with a base of semi-precious malachite fits inside it like a glove.

The trophy will be removed from it’s case on June 11th in Johannesberg when the trophy is presented to this year’s World Cup winners.
