From March 28th – April 1st some of Canada’s hottest designers will be showcasing their 2010 Fall Collections for the first time during Toronto’s LG Fashion Week.
taking place in Toronto’s newest and greenest conference centre on the Exhibition grounds, Allstream Centre.
This is the first time that the bi-annual fashion week will not be held in Nathans Philips Square, there just isn’t enough room!
There are a slew of shows taking place over the 5 day fashion frenzy and WRG? will be inside the tents getting a first hand look at what’s in store for the fall fashion season.
LOVAS by Wesley Badanjak, Pat McDonagh, Evan Biddell, Katrina Tuttle, Cocolilly, Pink Tartan, Joe Fresh Style and David Dixon are just some of the designers that will be featured during the week and there will be a full show wrap for you here following each show.
Pink Tartan is one of the most highly anticipated shows taking place during the week, Kim Newport-Mimran who is the head designer of the collection is known for her pretty, polished and elegant looks, that are both feminine and sexy. Kim created Pink Tartan in 2002, one year after giving birth to her daughter with husband Joe Mimran.
Joe is the head of Joe Fresh Style, another popular menswear and womenswear line that will also be featured during LG Fashion week.
The affordable yet chic line is exclusively sold in Real Canadian Superstores and Loblaws across Canada.
Pink Tartans Fall Collection will be showcased on Wednesday March 31st at 8:30pm followed directly by Joe Fresh Style at 9:30pm.
All the shows on tap for the week are sure to be promising, most likely featuring some of the new fall trends that have already been showing up at both New York and Paris Fashion Weeks: nudes and blacks, velvet and velour and capes and ponchos.
