Kenton Slash Demon [video]

In Americaland it’s Thanksgiving today.  But as an Americana in Canadia, no one here in the fine city of Montreal thinks it’s Thanksgiving today (they had their’s last month).  So I’m currently in my Mile End apartment listening to music and becoming obsessed with the guys from Kenton Slash Demon who come to us from Copenhagen.

I realize it’s not my regular music posting style (heyyy blog haus).  But I’m really feeling their songs ’Matters’ and ‘Sun’.  I’d describe their sound as well, hypontizing.  Their video for ‘Matters’ is absolutely beautiful in my opinion.  It’s described on their Vimeo page as “The fragile journey of the light, through space and darkness. Only aware of it´s own presence by the reflections of the environment it passes on the way.”  In my translation, it’s a black room filled with mirrored disco balls, crystals and other shiny objects as a light passes through it which is stunning.

I visited their website which starts as a burning sun then takes you into a galaxy then into some mathematic shape then to their Myspace page.  Very cool.

Have a look and listen to ‘Matter’s and just have a listen to ‘Sun’ below.
