Jake Davis Test Shots: Joshua Kissi
Jake Davis brings us another episode of his Test Shots series, this time with Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette as the focal point.
Two things.
First, Jake Davis is a name to remember for more than just his ability to put together eloquent little slices of life. He hails from NYC and has a talent for weaving together palpable brand spots (his original claim to fame being shorts he did with Nike) and connecting with with everyone under the sun in music. He’s also doing what promises to be some very interesting work with Supreme, the streetwear/skate brand.
Remember that whole bit about palpable brand spots? This brings us to point number two: Joshua Kissi. If you’re unfamiliar with Street Etiquette, it’s easily one of the strongest menswear blogs currently out there and Kissi is one half of the duo that heads it. In his Test Shot, he talks about style and what it really means. He has a few wonderfully smart things to say about the matter, so take notes. Especially when it comes to his footwear.
In the video Kissi sports the yet to be release blue canvas Undefeated x K-Swiss collabo sneakers but it isn’t until the video draws to a close that it all clicks no thanks to the K-Swiss logo appearing after the credits.
Ah hah. Palpable indeed.
