For the Love of Fashion [video]

If you can look past the fact that this mini-doc was sponsored by Starbucks, RJ Cutlers (of September Issue fame…) behind the scenes look into the lead up to the Rag & Bone Fall/Winter 2010 show in New York is really quite interesting.

Head designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright take us through the final moments before their two shows – that’s right two. If you remember, Rag & Bone usually sends their men and women’s looks down the runway together. In 2010, the boys made the leap and seperated the two sexes, having an official menswear show and womenswear show seperately.

Lots of stress, a snowstorm, and finally the moment of truth(s). The video documents the long hours in the atelier all the way up to the catwalk shows themselves.

Starbucks isn’t dripping with presence in the video which is refreshing considering it was put together by advertising agency BBDO New York.

No doubt it was a marketing push for the Starbucks Frappuccino Coffee Drink that sponsored the vid. Perfect timing too, considering Fashion Week is once again revving up again as we speak.
