Dieter Rams At The SFMOMA
Attention design geeks! Prolific industrial designer Dieter Rams has an exhibit called “Less But More” on now at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The exhibit features over 200 of Ram’s own famously-minimalist designs as well as great modern day pieces (like Apple computers) whose designs have been informed by Rams’ 10 principles of design. Rams, now 79, is best known for having been lead designer at German appliance and electronics company Braun for over 40 years, and today, his influence is evident in many of the good-looking consumer products you pick up.
You can check out the video that Dwell Magazine put together for the occasion above. Dwell had a sit-sown with Rams to discuss both his 10 Principles of Design and the exhibit. “Less But More” is on now at the SFMOMA and will be there until February 20, 2012.
