Chloé SS2011

New York City Ballet‘s prima ballerina Janie Taylor beautifully models the Chloé Spring Summer 2011 collection with choreographer and dancer Justin Peck.

The video project was a collaboration between the company’s Lincoln Center studio and The Block Magazine and does a very good job of highlighting the complimentary nature of the pieces worn by Taylor.

The dresses ebb and flow in perfect unison with each of her steps, twirls and dips… Makes sense. The collection was, after all, inspired by classical ballet.

Creatively speaking, the video is a bit… literal. Ballet inspired peices showcased by… a ballerina! But as it seems we’re going to ride the ballet loving train until it has been riden into oblivion, I guess a nod can be given to the legit dancing, the legit ballerina and the legit setting.

It is a very pretty video.
