Bande Des Quatres: Wrapped around her fingers
If I could gush via internet I would be obnoxiously all gushy over the recent launch of this New York City based boutique jewelery line, Bande Des Quatres. Not only because of its artistically structured graphic shapes, elegant demeanor and wildly successful launch but also because I happen to be galpals with the talented creative mind behind it all. Erin Wahed, is a Montreal native now living in the creativity hub of the world, NYC. Always an artist, Erin has successfully made advances in photography, graphic design, fashion and the obvious next outlet for this fearless designer, jewelry.
Each of her 13 pieces are a collaboration between her designs and the crafting of world-renowned jeweler Janis Kerman. Their unique shapes and stylings are only complimented by their subtle sense of floating along the grooves of your fingers.
My favorite is without a doubt the one featured in the above picture, GABO, made of sterling and oxidized sterling silver and priced at $600 USD. But, the pièce de résistance, is an 18kt yellow and palladium white gold with black diamonds ring, named after the Bauhaus artist, (László) Moholy-Nagy.
I know I said I wasn’t going to gush but …. Ahh this girl is brilliant!
