Acne recently teamed up with British talent Daniel Silver to work on a capsule collection.

Pairing Acne’s flair for restraint when it comes to the cut and the overall shape of the garment, along with Silver’s print design work and you’ve got quit the melding of tastes.

When it came to the inspiration behind the colorful prints, Silver has said that he absorbed everything around him, making collages with scraps of fabric that the folks at Acne had sent on to him along with a few bits and bobs he found in shops near his own studio.

It all worked out quite well in the end. The mini collection is full of fun and whimsical pieces that, after all seeing the color that came out these past fashion weeks – would be perfect for spring 2012. I know, I know … let’s get through winter first… Besides, who says the colder months aren’t color months?
